Republic Day: What’s so Special on 26th January, 2018?

India is celebrating its 69th Republic day on 26th January, 2018 to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on 26th January, 1950 and India became a Republic on the same day.

For the first time, heads of 10 ASEAN Nations Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei will be  Chief Guests on this Republic Day.

Like each year, the Republic day Parade will be the Centre of Attraction. Besides the participants from Indian Army, Navy and Air force in Parade, there will be around 700 students from the guest countries who will also give their performances on the event of the Republic Day.

There will be tableau of Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat”. However, the tableau of Bihar State is missing this year also.

The newly raised Women Bikers’ Contingent of the Boarder Security Force will show their first performance on Rajpath and show stunts on motorcycle.
