While reviewing the meeting of PRAGATI (Pro Active Governance & Timely Implementation), Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi raised his concern over the growing number of E-commerce complaints and asked the concerned complaint Redressal machinery to redress such complaints within the deadline of 10 days. PRAGATI is a multi dimensional platform, wherein PM directly interacts with Indian Bureaucracy at Centre and States.
In E-commerce sector, the general complaints pertain to booking of tickets, hotel bookings etc. This field needs to be addressed firmly and within the time frame of maximum 10 days. Even after the Redressal of complaints there was a need of follow-up action report, asserted PM. Services of National Consumer Helpline also need to be improved, making it more effective, efficient & action oriented.
