Recently National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) celebrated their 31st Inception Day, where Union Minister of State for Home Mr. Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary announced the launch of a Mobile application named “VAHAN SAMANVAYA”. This application helps in easily trace stolen/missing vehicles.

It was need of the hour to help public and police with such a user friendly application, due to increase in size of records of missing/stolen vehicles with every state. Now this application shall be used across the country to trace vehicles, where vehicles move out of one state border to the other within a minimum span of time. This application contains complete data base of the record of stolen/missing vehicles, so that missing stolen vehicles are traced easily.

A web portal, named FAKE Indian Currency Note (FICN) compilation system has also been launched by the Minister & the aim of this portal is to help National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) to get data from all the states & agencies so they have a complete picture on its circulation.

Just one has to visit the NCRB’s website to get the motor vehicle inquiry service by clicking “VAHAN SAMANVAYA” and filing the detail of the vehicle to be traced.

But the drawback of this information is that without the thorough check of the vehicle physically with the registration documents, it shall be difficult to trace the vehicle.
