US President Donald Trump’s cleared in his New Year tweet that Pakistan would not get security assistance by the US administration as it miserably failed to tackle terror operations within their country.

In his first tweet of 2018 the US President threatened to freeze aid given to Pakistan for military assistance.

The US ambassador to UN Nikki Haley informed that US would withhold aid of $255m to Pakistan.

The Trump said that the US had received “nothing but lies and deceit” for giving Pakistan billions in aid.

Trump administration informed to US congress that there would be no further aid  in the form of military and other aid to Pakistan, although it was not specified how much cut will be made.

There was significant decrease in US aid to Pakistan in last several years as it came down to $526 million in 2017 from $1.604 in 2015.

This stern action of aid cut has been instrumental as the UN alleges that Pakistan was a safe heaven to agents, commanders of Afghan Taliban and promote terror attacks. Donald Trump expressed discontent as Islamabad is helping to Haqqani and other group of militants in crossing borders to bring attacks in Afghanistan and India.

Reacting to the reports of US, Pakistan’s foreign minister also attacked US administration for using their soil by US military forces to contain terror groups of Afghanistan including Osama Bin Laden.

US is also thinking of taking stern action against terror groups of Pakistan, if some terrorists are not handed over to US forces before 15th of January, as list provided by US administration.

India has been successful in bringing US administration’s attention with regard to terrorist activities of the Region
